About the Event
Due to limited space, only 8 teams will be able to compete so don’t miss out, register today! Players will be competing to be the Grand Prize Winner!  All players will be winners in the end though, as they are changing the lives of animals in need.  Players will compete in teams of two players for 25-minute sets, using double elimination to determine the top two winning teams. The two top winning teams will face off in a single elimination game to determine the Grand Prize Winner. Note: This will not be an ACO official cornhole rules tournament, but players of all skill levels are still welcome.

GAME PLAY & SCORING AND WINNING
Decide who goes first then take turns throwing bags with your opponent. You throw one bag, then your opponent, then you, then your opponent, etc. Your feet may not go past the front edge of the board. Also, a tossed bag may not touch the ground. If it hits the ground and bounces up on the board, remove it before any other bags are thrown. If it’s hanging off the board and touching the ground, remove that as well. When all 8 bags have been tossed to the other side, add up the score (see scoring below). If you earned the most points in that single round, your team would throw first in the next round.

Scoring is simple. After all bags have been thrown, a bag remaining on the board is worth 1 point. A bag that went in the hole is worth 3 points. Add up how many points you earned and compare them to your opponents. Equal points cancel each other out so that only one team can score per round. For example, if you scored 5 points and your opponent scored 3, you will add 2 points to your overall score and your team will throw first in the next round. If you scored 6 points and your opponent scored 6 as well, there will be no points awarded and whoever threw first in the last round will throw first again. A game is won when a team reaches 21 points or has the highest score at 25 minutes.

WAIT - we’ll also have a “Pay to Play Airmail Challenge” open to all!  It’s a simple contest where getting the bag in the hole is the only thing that counts.  Compete to get the most bags in the hole in one 4-bag round.  Final winner gets a prize! No preregistration is necessary.

Pup presence is welcome - after all who is a bigger fan than your furry side kick?! Please be respectful and bring a pup-sitter if you are playing in the tournament though so that our canine companions don't interfere with play. All pups must be leashed, friendly and vaccinated. RSB is a pup friendly place!
